Horse Feeding Systems
SCHAUER Concentrate Feeding Station
The concentrate feeding station provides horses individually with up to 24 small portions of concentrate and mineral feed per day. In order to feed each horse – youngster to senior – according to its needs one station can be equiped with a maximum of 6 main feeds and 2 mineral feeds. Animals are identified by the means of a transponder that each animal carries on or in itself. The transponder may be injected into the neckmuscle or woven into the mane. Adjusted to the individual speed of eating of each animal the feed trickles into the feeding trough. After feeding the Drive-Out-Aid can be activated to prevent horses with the habit of remaining in the station for hours from blocking it for the other animals. This way each horse gets its turn to feed.
Facts:
- up to 6 main feeds
- up to 2 mineralfeeds
- one liquid feed
- port for manual control (to operate station manually when familiarizy horses with it)
- indivually programmable Drive-Out-Aid
- with or without automatic filling systems (silo storage)
- gangway with controlled entrance door and exit
SCHAUER Roughage Feeding Station
The roughage feeding station feeds horses with hay, haylage and silage. Horses can be allocated to certain stations in order to feed different kinds of roughage for different horses. A mechanism opens and closes the access to the roughage. A budget of time is entered into the computer for each horse. The computer automatically splits the time budget into intervalls that relate the operating hours of the roughage feeding station. If a horse has been absent for some hours (i.e. because of lessons) the missed intervalls can be made up for. Naturally its possible to programm a maximum duration for an intervall in order to prevent overeating.
The slide gate of the roughage feeding station is made extra wide in order to facilitate the usage of bigbales. The identification of the animals in the station functions identically to the one in the concentrate feeding station.
Facts:
- extra wide slide gate
- variable space to allow quick or slow feeding
- 3 – 5 horses per station
- port for manual control
- individually programmable Drive-Out-Aid
- gangway with controlled entrance door and exit
Fence rack for straw and hay
- 2 different versions
- for small live stocks
- for big bales
Handling, cleaning and filling of the trough is easy.
