TMR robot for automatic cattle feeding
Top performance and top quality of life for large-scale dairy cattle operations. Schauer Maschinenfabrik is launching a technology that originated in Canada and has been implemented hundreds of times over the last 20 years. The stationary system mixes TMR feed mixtures on a group basis fully automatically and distributes it several times daily using a feed wagon that runs on rails. Various tank sizes for 50 to 300 cows per unit are available to cater for the number of animals in question. The bunkers for the individual components (grass silage, maize silage etc.) are filled every 1 to 2 days. The first system of this kind in Austria will go into operation early in 2009.
